Fireworks begin at 10:00 p.m.!
The all aerial fireworks show will be produced again this year by Munerlyn Pyrotechnics and will be shot from the Macon County Fairgrounds. There will be great viewing up from many locations outside the Macon County Rec Park as well.
Macon County's 250 Celebration is presented by the Macon County 250th Committee in partnership with the Town of Franklin, Macon County, Macon County Fair Association and the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce. Financial support from the Franklin & Nantahala TDC.
The Macon County America 250 Committee would like to express our deep appreciation to the businesses and organizations who are co-sponsoring this historic event in Franklin, NC.

Parking & Shuttle Rides
Parking will be available at the recreation park in several areas, but will be limited. Parking is NOT allowed except where indicated. Designated Handicapped Parking will be at the Rec Park Pool.
FREE Shuttle Service will be available to the Macon County Recreation Park (see map below) at several locations. Shuttles will run from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Shuttle Service will resume following the conclusion of the Fireworks Display. The last shuttle will run at 11:00 p.m.

RULES FOR ATTENDEES TO THE MACON COUNTY REC PARK:
We want everyone to have a good time, but to also be safe and considerate of others.

NO Drones in the park or in fireworks fallout zone area.
NO Alcoholic Beverages allowed.

NO Fireworks are allowed in the park ... this includes sparklers, firecrackers and poppers.

Once the fireworks are onsite NO ONE is allowed in the safety or fallout zone. Scroll down for more information on this topic.
We recommend leaving pets at home but if bringing ... ALL PETS Must be on Leashes at All TIMES.

Both the Franklin Police and Macon County Sheriff's Departments will be on site monitoring activities.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
On July 4th, a secure perimeter or safety zone will be located around the fireworks display site at the Macon County Fairgrounds throughout the day and evening.
Once the fireworks are on site, there will be NO admittance by any unauthorized personnel inside the perimeter or safety zone. This area will be clearly marked and only authorized personnel will be allowed.
Spectators are not allowed to park or view the show within this safety zone.
All vehicles parked in the restricted area will be towed.
